Chapter 1 Summary

To start off this book started off with the plot and introducing the narrator Nick. This book took place around the years of WW1. Nick was in the army and moved to Ny. When Nick got to New York he moved into a small home that his friend had rented to him. He was surrounded with mansions and wealthy people.  As he gets installed at home he invites Daisy and her husband Tom to dinner. Tom is a racist person and Daisy is unhappy through the first part of the book. At the dinner Tom receives a call from another women...

Well to start off the title to this essay is pretty ironic, we can't really eat social media for breakfast in that case this is the use of personification.  But to top it off I'm getting the point of view of this author and he is right.
